Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Jongjeom Sutbul Galbi is a charcoal grill specialty restaurant located in Bogwang-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. There is no separate parking lot, so visitors must use nearby paid parking facilities. If visiting by public transportation, it is near Exit 1 of Hannam Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. It is an ordinary and shabby-looking old restaurant, but it became more famous after being featured as a backdrop in a Japanese TV program. The walls are covered with signatures of celebrities, and the seating is divided into table seating and floor seating. The signature menu is pork ribs grilled over charcoal, but o-sam bulgogi, stir-fried pork with gochujang, samgyeopsal, and sliced beef brisket are also available. The five or six side dishes served with the meal are also delicious. Meal options include cheonggukjang, doenjang jjigae, and kimchi jjigae. Nearby attractions such as Itaewon Street, Hannam-dong Cafe Street, and Samsung Museum of Art make it possible to combine sightseeing.
