Gariwangsan Cable Car

Gariwangsan Cable Car is located on Gariwangsan Mountain, which is one of the top 100 famous mountains in South Korea and successfully hosted the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. After the Olympics, it was newly renovated so that many citizens can enjoy Gariwangsan Mountain. At the upper part of the cable car, various convenience facilities covering 512.5㎡ are installed, including a 2,400㎡ ecological exploration deck road, an unmanned agricultural product store (gift shop), a VR experience center, a DID video room, a customer rest area, Cafe 1561, and a Moonlight Photo Zone. It is easily accessible for people of all ages and those with mobility impairments, including the disabled, without inconvenience. The cable car may close early or be suspended without prior notice due to safety reasons such as weather conditions, so it is recommended to check in advance before visiting.
