Why travelers stop here
Icheon's Buraemi Village is a representative rural experience village. Buraemi Village was originally called Buam-ri, because there was a rock resembling a Buddha statue in the village. Over time, people's pronunciation began to blur, and Buam-ri changed to Buraemi. In 2003, it was designated as a green rural experience village, and afterward, the villagers decided to give meaning to the village name. Each character of Buraemi was interpreted in Chinese characters: rich Bu (富), come Rae (來), and beautiful Mi (美). The wish that 'all who come to the village become rich and beautiful' was inscribed in the village name. The village operates various experience programs such as harvest experiences, cultural experiences, food experiences, and accommodation experiences. Experiences are conducted only by advance reservation, and same-day reservations are not possible. The village has accommodation facilities, a hall, a restaurant, a playground, etc., and accommodation experiences are also available at the lodging facilities.
