Maehyang-ri Ferry Dock

This is a small port in Maehyang-ri where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset of the west coast. You can see the beautiful West Sea of the Hwaseong Embankment connecting Maehyang-ri, Ujeong-eup and Gungpyeong Port. On the way to Maehyang-ri Ferry Dock, there is the Maehyang-ri History Museum. It preserves records of Nongseom Island (also known as Kooni Shooting Range), which was used as a bombing training ground for the U.S. Air Force in South Korea from 1951 to June 2001, and the surrounding area. Nongseom Island, which has about half of its island remaining due to bombing, is visited by numerous migratory birds.
