Why travelers stop here
Also called Am Reservoir, Balang Reservoir is an agricultural reservoir with an area of 165,289㎡ and a water depth of 4-5m. It is now a well-known spot as a reservoir fishing site. The scenery at dawn, when the mist rises faintly, is particularly beautiful. The reservoir is managed by the Korea Rural Community Corporation. Built by damming a valley in a hill at an altitude of 100m, the surrounding landscape is picturesque and the water is clear, rich in fish species such as crucian carp, carp, and leather carp, making it ideal for fishing. At Balang Fishing Site, you can enjoy lure fishing after paying the entrance fee and platform usage fee. Nearby attractions include Jangheung Tourist Site, Gana Art Park, Duri Land, World Heritage Site Paju Samneung Tombs, Honey Land, Heyri Art Village, Paju Book City, Imjingak (Pyeonghwa Nuri Park), and First Garden.
