Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Yongmunsan Baegunbong is 940m high and is the highest rocky peak among the peaks connected to the southern ridge of Yongmunsan (1,157m). Its sky-piercing appearance is as splendid as to be called the Matterhorn of Gyeonggi. From the summit of Baegunbong, you can see the Namhan River and Yangpyeong town to the south, and to the north, you can see the grand ridge leading to Yangpyeong's highest peak, Yongmunsan. As it is a steeply rising peak, it embraces Hamwang Valley to the west and Yeonsu Valley to the east. Adjacent to Yangpyeong town, it is easily accessible by public transportation, making it a true landmark of Yangpyeong visited by many hikers throughout the four seasons.
