Why travelers stop here
A small island off the coast of Seosin-myeon, Jebudo Island is a mysterious island where you can witness the so-called 'Miracle of Moses.' Twice a day during low tide, the seawater parts to both sides, creating a path that allows access to and from the island. Not far from the Seoul metropolitan area and with convenient transportation, it is suitable as a one-night, two-day family vacation destination. The sunset reflected on the water is considered one of the most beautiful on the west coast. Jebudo Island has been reborn as an 'Island of Culture and Art,' blending design, architecture, and art. In the '2017 Red Dot Design Award,' one of the world's top three design awards, the 'Art Park' and the 'Landscape Bench' on the coastal promenade each won main prizes in the Communication Design category. It was selected as one of the 2017 Gyeonggi Promising Tourist Destinations Top 10 and was also chosen for the 2019-2020 Korea Tourism 100 Must-Visit Spots, selected every two years by the Korea Tourism Organization. With over 2 million tourists visiting annually, it is a representative tourist destination on the western coast of Gyeonggi Province.
