Moran Museum of Art is a private museum located in Maseok, Gyeonggi-do, opened in April 1990. It started as a sculpture-specialized museum, hosting research and curated exhibitions exploring the direction of Korean contemporary sculpture. Currently, it introduces not only sculpture but also various genres of contemporary art, aiming to root art culture in the public's life through exhibitions that reflect the artistic value of society and culture. The main building of Moran Museum of Art is a space for exhibitions, consisting of six exhibition halls on two floors. The storage and Moran Tower (storage and singing tower), designed by architect Lee Young-bum, received a design award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) New York Chapter. It serves as a place to store the museum's collections and materials, and is also a pure sculptural structure. Inside Moran Tower, there is a plaster cast of Auguste Rodin's <Balzac> (1891-1898), based on the original work, produced at L'atelier de moulage du Musée du Louvre. The outdoor sculpture exhibition area of Moran Museum of Art spans approximately 8,600 pyeong, featuring works by renowned domestic and international sculptors harmonized with nature, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of nature and art. It also serves as a venue for various cultural events, functioning as a cultural space for citizens. Moran Space (annex) is a gallery space available for rental for cultural events and various exhibitions. It is also a space where the Moran Museum of Art School and museum education programs are conducted, registered as a community educational development facility.
