Why travelers stop here

This museum offers a comprehensive view of Yongin's history through over 400 artifacts, videos, and photographs, serving as a representative historical and cultural experience space in Yongin. Located in Giheung-gu, Yongin, it was originally opened in November 2009 as the Yongin Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall to preserve the Paleolithic cultural layer discovered during the development of the Yongin Dongbaek district, and was renamed to its current name in March 2018. The museum consists of exhibition rooms introducing Yongin's historical materials from prehistoric times to the modern era, including Paleolithic artifacts excavated from the Dongbaek-dong and Jung-dong sites, as well as an outdoor exhibition hall displaying restored models of relics from the Yongin area. Additionally, the history experience room and video experience room, equipped with various hands-on activities and new media systems, allow children and youth to see and experience Yongin's history firsthand.
