Seongnam Arts Center

Opened on October 14, 2005, Seongnam Arts Center embodies the cutting-edge trends in performing and visual arts while aiming to be a community-oriented cultural space. Operated by the Seongnam Cultural Foundation, the center consists of four performance venues—Opera House, Concert Hall, Ensemble Theater, and Outdoor Performance Hall—and exhibition spaces including Seongnam Cube Museum of Art (Special Exhibition Hall, Gallery 808, Ban-dal Gallery, and Permanent Exhibition Hall). Since its opening, it has established itself as the hub of Seongnam's culture and arts by presenting original cultural content such as domestic premieres, in-house productions, and community-based programs. Additionally, it operates diverse facilities like the World Musical Instrument Exhibition Hall, Seongnam Media Center, Central Park Outdoor Performance Hall, and Book Theme Park, providing citizens with a friendly cultural resting place and adding joy to daily life. A representative cultural lecture program at Seongnam Arts Center is the Adult Appreciation Humanities Academy, offering courses such as Opera Salon, European Art Museum Walks, and Western Art History Interpreted through Philosophy and Aesthetics.
