Korean Modern Music Hall

Located in the Korean Sound Village within the Pyeongtaek Lake Tourist Complex, the Korea Modern and Contemporary Music Museum is the first complex cultural space in Korea themed around modern and contemporary music, equipped with the functions of a museum, library, and archive. It has established itself as a representative music institution in Korea where traditional Korean music and Western music, modern and contemporary, popular and folk coexist. The institution operates various events to allow visitors to view and understand history from a new perspective through the cultural lens of 'music,' utilizing modern and contemporary collection materials ranging from anti-Japanese and pro-Japanese music, independence movements, music education, North Korean and Japanese music, to modern popular music.
