Scented Musée

Located inside Gate 3 of Heyri Art Village, Scented Musée is a perfume atelier that expresses the emotions felt in paintings through scent. Scented Musée provides a scent testing kit along with the admission ticket for exhibition viewing, offering a unique art viewing experience with sealed perfumes inspired by the paintings and stories of the exhibition, created by a professional perfumer. This exhibition technique embodies the Proust effect, a phenomenon where memories are revived through stimulation by scent and smell. It is said that when an object is perceived together with smell, it is remembered for a longer time and evokes stronger emotional feelings compared to other senses. It is located about a 5-minute drive from Seongdong IC and about 180m from Heyri Gate 3. There is a public parking lot at Gate 3 entrance, in front of the Scented Musée building. Nearby attractions include Paju Book City, Imjingak (Pyeonghwa Nuri Park), the UNESCO World Heritage site Paju Samneung Tombs, Honey Land, and Unjeong Lake.
