Yeoncheon Cultural Center is a place dedicated to inheriting and developing the local culture and history of Yeoncheon. It focuses on discovering and preserving local historical materials, and carries out projects such as local cultural festivals, cultural education, and revitalization of living culture and arts. Established in 1987 under the Local Cultural Center Promotion Act, the center was relocated to its current location in 1999. The cultural center is equipped with a local exhibition hall, lecture rooms, meeting rooms, a library and archive, an auditorium and theater, and exhibition spaces, and operates various cultural events and educational programs. It is approximately 3 minutes by car from Yeoncheon Station on Line 1, and about 1 minute by car or 9 minutes on foot (595m) from Yeoncheon Public Bus Terminal. Nearby attractions include Godeosan Natural Recreation Forest, Hantangang Resort, Hantangang Tourist Site Auto Camping, Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Site, Jeongok Prehistory Museum, Jaein Falls, Pocheon Sinbuk-ri Resort Spring Pole Hot Spring, and Pocheon Herb Island.
