Located near the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Northern Office, Yangju Cultural Center is a place dedicated to preserving and developing the local history, culture, and traditions of Yangju. It carries out projects such as discovering and preserving local historical materials, organizing creative local cultural festivals, promoting cultural content exchange between regions, conducting cultural education programs, and revitalizing living culture and arts. Established in 1961 under the Local Cultural Center Promotion Act, it originally opened in Dongducheon-eup, Yangju. When Dongducheon-eup was elevated to a city in 1987 and separated from Yangju's jurisdiction, the center was relocated and newly built at its current location in 1988. The center is equipped with lecture rooms, multipurpose rooms, and other facilities, and operates various cultural events and educational programs. It takes about 30 minutes by car from Songchu IC. Nearby attractions include Jangheung Resort, Gana Art Park, Duri Land, Jang Uk-jin Museum of Art, Philux Lighting Museum, Hoeamsa Temple Site, Bukhansan National Park, and the National ASEAN Natural Recreation Forest.
