Located within Gwangjeok Sports Park, the Yangju Culture and Arts Center opened in October 1997 to enhance the leisure and cultural life of Yangju citizens. It is operated by the Yangju Urban Corporation. The Yangju City Culture and Arts Center features a large performance hall and indoor gymnasium that can accommodate 940 people (including 10 seats for the disabled), a small performance hall that can accommodate 304 people (including 5 seats for the disabled), a conference room for 300 people, an outdoor performance venue for 600 people, and an exhibition hall (99㎡). Since its opening, various performances such as musical plays and theater, as well as exhibitions, have been held regularly, and it is used as a venue for official events of Yangju City. It takes approximately 26 minutes by car from Songchu IC and Howon IC. Nearby attractions include Jangheung Tourist Site (Cheongam Folk Museum, Gana Art Center, Duri Land, Yangju City Jang Uk-jin Museum of Art, Yangju City Min Bok-jin Museum of Art, Songam Space Center, Jangheung Jasaeng Arboretum, etc.), Songchu Resort, Ilyeong Resort, Bukhansan National Park, National ASEAN Natural Recreation Forest, Philux Lighting Museum, and Hoeamsa Temple Site.
