Ansan Cultural Arts Center

Ansan Cultural Arts Center is a representative cultural space of Ansan, located directly across from Exit 1 of Gojan Station on Subway Line 4. The Ansan Cultural Arts Center is a complex cultural arts space with three performance halls—Haedotji Theater, Dalmatji Theater, and Byeolmuri Theater—one international conference hall, and four exhibition rooms. Haedotji Theater is a large-scale multipurpose performance hall equipped with a lift stage, revolving stage, and orchestra pit, hosting various indoor performances such as concerts, operas, ballets, and musicals. Dalmatji Theater is a medium-sized theater with a lift stage and projection facilities, used for plays, dance recitals, chamber music performances, solo recitals, and film screenings. Byeolmuri Theater is a small theater with a flexible stage and seating, hosting small-scale plays, traditional Korean music performances, and avant-garde theater. The outdoor performance venue in the front yard of the performance building has approximately 1,000 tiered seats and hosts various outdoor performances such as madangnori (traditional outdoor plays), popular music concerts, and film screenings. The planned exhibition rooms host exhibitions of paintings, calligraphy, sculptures, photography, and formative arts. There are also two bakery cafes inside the Ansan Cultural Arts Center, convenient for use before or after performances.
