Why travelers stop here
Opened in 1993, the Ajou University Museum is an institution that researches, exhibits, and educates about tools that have contributed to the development of human history. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the university's founding, the exhibition hall was relocated to the first floor of the current comprehensive building, where the Tool Museum and the Ajou History Exhibition Hall were opened. The Tool Museum displays collections centered on old tools related to technology from prehistoric times to the modern era, while the Ajou History Exhibition Hall exhibits historical materials of the university that show the process of the university's development from its establishment to the present. There are excavation survey reports on the Pyeongtaek Wonjeong-ri site and the Gwanchang-ri site, and the exhibition catalogs include 'The Story of the Tool Tool Family,' 'Special Exhibition of Ajou's 30-Year Historical Materials,' and 'The Tree That Wants to Become a Bird.' In 2019, the museum applied for the 'Humanities on the Road' and 'Regional Culture and Arts Platform Development Project,' striving to strengthen the cultural capacity of the local community, discover cultural values, and respond to social changes as a university museum representing the local community, while continuously working on the museum's development.
