Suwon Seongyeong Library

Suwon City, in response to the 21st century knowledge and information age, is leading as the nation's top lifelong learning and cultural city. To ensure all citizens can use libraries close to home, the city operates a total of 20 libraries, including 3 children's libraries, with holdings exceeding 3 million books. Among them, Suwon City Seongyeong Library was donated by the Seongyeong Group, the predecessor of SK Group. It opened on April 27, 1995, and underwent remodeling in 2015, transforming into its current modern appearance. One of the most notable features of Seongyeong Library is the operation of the Suwon Studies (academic) reference room. The Suwon Studies reference room systematically collects and provides various Suwon studies and local materials, offering access to ancient books, genealogies, and personal collections (donated Suwon studies materials), greatly assisting citizens interested in Suwon studies.
