Seongnam Cube Museum of Art

Seongnam Cube Museum of Art, operated by the Seongnam Cultural Foundation, a funded institution of Seongnam City, is the only public art museum in the region. Registered in September 2012, it strives to create a space for art and culture enjoyment for Seongnam citizens and to develop local art and culture. It presents the 'Contemporary Aesthetics Exhibition' and 'Contemporary Issues Exhibition,' which interpret contemporary domestic and international issues and aesthetics through exhibitions; the 'Face of Seongnam Exhibition,' which surveys the art landscape of Seongnam by introducing works by local artists; and the 'Local Artist Exchange Exhibition,' which seeks to serve as a platform for cultural connection between Seongnam and domestic localities. To examine the future of local art and serve as a stepping stone for expansion, it holds the 'Seongnam Artist Spotlight Exhibition,' actively supporting local art. Additionally, it offers the 'Children's Educational Experience Exhibition,' where families with children can view exhibitions together and reflect on the presented themes and meanings; and, after internal curatorial research and review, it holds popular domestic and international artist exhibitions as special exhibitions such as the 'Summer Special Exhibition' and 'Winter Special Exhibition.' To fulfill the educational function of the museum, it conducts various education and experience programs linked to planned exhibitions.
