Why travelers stop here
Located in Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju-si, the Wooseokheon Natural History Museum is named after the founder Kim Jeong-woo's pen name 'Wooseok [愚石]', meaning 'House of Pretty Stones'. It opened in 2003 with the aim of serving as a venue for local culture and educational activities through various authentic fossils and minerals. The exhibition halls consist of the 2nd and 3rd floors and an annex (Discovery Center), and through systematically collected geological natural history specimens such as dinosaurs, minerals, and rocks over 30 years, it introduces third-generation exhibition techniques including free-moving display stands and four-sided observation display stands to provide convenience for visitors.
