Located in Tongjin-eup, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, the Tongjin Dure Culture Center was established to succeed and develop 'Tongjin Dure Nori', which won the Presidential Award at the 38th National Folk Art Competition (1997) and was designated as Gyeonggi-do Intangible Cultural Heritage (1998). Tongjin Dure Nori is a play based on the farming cooperative customs practiced in Ongjeong-ri, Tongjin-eup, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do during the 1960s, and has been preserved as a local cultural heritage to this day. In addition, it serves as a complex cultural arts space that succeeds and develops Korea's traditional intangible culture and folk arts, providing various cultural arts services. The first floor of the center has a performance hall, a promotional exhibition room, and practice rooms, while the second floor has an experiential learning room and the Tongjin Dure Nori Preservation Society office. The performance hall on the first floor is used for experimental plays, dramas, madangnori (outdoor folk plays), pansori, and other performances. The promotional exhibition room displays various artifacts along with detailed explanations and models of Tongjin Dure Nori. In addition, various experiential programs are offered, including an out-of-school traditional arts classroom where you can learn about Gimpo's representative intangible cultural heritage, and Tongjin Dure Nori programs.
