Hangwa Culture Museum Hangawon is the first museum in Korea established with the theme of hangwa (traditional Korean sweets). It provides comprehensive information about hangwa, focusing on exhibits and explanations of the history, origins, and production tools of hangwa. Therefore, it is a space where visitors can learn everything about hangwa at a glance. On the first floor exhibition hall, visitors can obtain and understand basic information about hangwa, including the production process, raw ingredients, history, various types (yakgwa, yugwa, yumilgwa, jeonggwa, dasik, gangjeong), the king's royal table, and hangwa for holidays and daily life. On the second floor exhibition hall, visitors can grasp overall information about hangwa at a glance, such as seasonal hangwa, traditional tea and hangwa, hangwa and global sweets, hangwa production tools, the master hangwa artisan system and master artisans, the Pocheon hangwa cluster, the national distribution map of hangwa, tourist attractions in Pocheon, and the excellence of hangwa. Additionally, theoretical education facilitates hands-on experiences and makes it easy to learn about hangwa.
