Jangheung Sculpture Park (Yangju City Jang Ukg-jin Museum of Art)

Yangju City Jang Ukg-jin Museum of Art aims to honor the achievements and spirit of Jang Ukg-jin, a representative figure of Korean modern and contemporary art, and to exhibit, research, and collect artworks and materials that contribute to the development of Korean modern and contemporary art. The museum seeks to commemorate the spirit of the artist Jang Ukg-jin, who pursued a pure, ideal inner world, and to research Korean modern and contemporary art through thematic exhibitions related to his spirit and later artists. Additionally, the museum strives to become a municipal art museum that resonates with the local community and the public through various exhibitions, educational programs, and the operation of an art creation studio that citizens can relate to. Currently, Yangju City Jang Ukg-jin Museum of Art operates the Yangju City Art Creation Studio, which supports the creative activities of emerging and mid-career artists. The Yangju City Art Creation Studio runs the 777 Residency for painters, photographers, and mixed-media artists, offering various programs such as solo exhibitions, workshops, open studios, and curated exhibitions.
