Yangju City Min Bokjin Museum of Art

Yangju City Min Bokjin Museum of Art is a public art museum established after receiving donations of works by Min Bokjin, a representative Korean sculptor, and opened in March 2022. Our museum has the mission of being a regional representative art museum that honors the artistic spirit of sculptor Min Bokjin, who was born in Yangju, and holds various exhibitions, research, and events. It has two exhibition halls: the first floor operates as a special exhibition hall, and the second floor as an open storage gallery. It regularly holds two special exhibitions per year and one permanent exhibition per year, and operates various events and educational programs to promote sculptural art. Emulating Min Bokjin's belief in humanity and affirmation of mankind, who built his own artistic world by repeatedly exploring the universal theme of eternal love, the museum aims to strengthen its professional functions and expand access to exhibition viewing for culturally underprivileged groups so that more citizens can enjoy art culture without inconvenience.
