Gwangju Namhansanseong Cultural Festival

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Gwangju Namhansanseong Cultural Festival has established itself as a representative cultural heritage festival that reflects on the historical value of Namhansanseong and promotes its status as a World Heritage site both domestically and internationally. Under the theme 'The Ramparts of Time,' this festival offers a modern interpretation of the memories of the Manchu invasion of 1636, the spirit of resistance, and our stories of preserving the great cultural heritage of Namhansanseong as a defensive stronghold of the Joseon Dynasty.
