Why travelers stop here
Simhaksan Dulle-gil is a trail that follows the gentle forest paths along the elongated ridge of Simhaksan Mountain (elevation 192m). The trail surface has almost no curves and few ascents or descents, making it a good path for families to walk together while chatting. Starting from the reservoir, it passes through Yakcheonsa Temple, Sutu Rock, Bae-bat Pavilion, Sunset Observatory, and Solhyanggi Rest Area before returning to the reservoir in a circular course. The total distance is 6.8 km, taking approximately 2 hours. Along the trail, the Sunset Observatory offers views of the Han River and Imjin River estuaries, Ilsan, Paju, Incheon Bridge, and Ganghwa Island. You can also see Sutu Rock, which resembles a man of grand physique wearing a helmet.
