Why travelers stop here

Pyeonghwa Nuri-gil is the northernmost walking trail in South Korea, connecting four cities and counties (Gimpo-si, Goyang-si, Paju-si, and Yeoncheon-gun) in the DMZ border region, opened on May 8, 2010. It consists of a total of 12 regular courses with a cumulative distance of 189 km. Along this trail, visitors can encounter the pain of war and various historical sites of Gyeonggi-do, as well as experience nature, history, and culture. Pyeonghwa Nuri-gil Course 7, Heyri-gil, is a 20 km trail that takes about 5 hours and 10 minutes. It starts at Seongdong Intersection and passes through Provence, Ogeum Bridge, Naepori Rest Area, and ends at Ban-gujeong. The route goes by Injiup Campus, Heyri Village, and Provence Cafe Village, offering many attractions. After that, the section leading to Ban-gujeong is a leisurely stretch, so you should adjust your stay time appropriately.
