Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Cheonbosan-gil is a path where the stories of many figures are scattered. It is a course that starts at Uijeongbu Station, passes through Dong-o Station, the entrance to Cheonbosan Mountain, and the Memorial Tower for Patriots, and arrives at Chukseok Pass Intersection. Cheonbosan Mountain means 'the most precious mountain under the sky.' However, local people call it 'Ppakppak Mountain.' This is said to be because a large fire in the past left no trees, making it look like a shaved head. On Cheonbosan Mountain, there are tombs of royal descendants, including Jeongbin Min, a concubine of King Seonjo of the Joseon Dynasty, as well as Prince Inseong, Prince Hwaryeong, Prince Hwachang, Prince Hwachun, and Prince Neungchang. In particular, the resentful story of Princess Uisun makes us feel sorrowful.
