Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Starting from Seokcheon-ri in Yongin, passing through quaint village paths, you enter the beautiful Bibongsan Forest Trail, which resembles a phoenix in flight. From the summit of Bibongsan, you pass the splendid scenery of Juksan, which was once the hinterland of Gung Ye, and then face Jukjusanseong Fortress. Jukjusanseong Fortress is said to have had its inner wall built during the Silla period and its outer wall during the Goryeo period, with three layers of stone walls still remaining and in excellent condition. Descending from Jukjusanseong Fortress, you enter Maesan-ri, which was part of the Juksan area in the past and retains various Goryeo cultural heritage resources, allowing you to deeply experience the scent of Goryeo culture.
