Yonginjang (5th, 10th)

경기도 용인시 처인구 금령로107번길 13

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Located near Yongin Central Market, Yonginjang is a traditional five-day market held on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th of each month in connection with the permanent Central Market. Yonginjang has a long history, originally started by a person named Gimnyangjang during the Goryeo Dynasty, and was also called Gimnyangjang. Until the mid-1990s, it was considered one of the largest markets in the country along with Seongnam Moran Market, but it temporarily declined with the advent of large discount stores. Thanks to the traditional market revitalization movement, many people flocked to it in search of memories, and it has become a market frequently visited even by residents of nearby cities due to its abundant food and attractions. The market stretches for about 1 km along Geumhakcheon Stream, from the point where you cross Munhwa Bridge from Everline Gimnyangjang Station to Yongin Central Market, selling vegetables, fruits, dried fish, clothing, miscellaneous goods, and various foods such as meat, sundae (Korean blood sausage), rice cakes, snacks, gangjeong (Korean fried rice puffs), and side dishes. The nearest parking lot is Geumhak Public Parking Lot; if full, use Yongin Central Market's 1st and 2nd public parking lots. It is about a 1-minute walk (110m) from Everline Gimnyangjang Station.
