Why travelers stop here
Minarigwang Market is located between Jidong Market and Motgol Market. The name 'Minarigwang Market' originated from the fact that the area around the market was once a water parsley field. Around 1950, residents near Hwaseong Fortress and Suwoncheon Stream began bringing agricultural and livestock products to sell and buy, naturally forming a permanent market that became the start of Minarigwang Market. Later, street stalls appeared one by one, forming a street vendor area, but after the Suwoncheon Stream maintenance project, the street stalls disappeared, and the market settled into its current alley-type form where tradition and modernity coexist. With many tourist attractions nearby and its location in the city center, it is a market frequently visited by many foreign tourists, specializing in food and agricultural and livestock products.
