Jidong Market

Jidong Market is a long-standing traditional market formed against the backdrop of Suwon Fortress, containing the joys, sorrows, and culture of the local residents. Around Paldalmun Gate, a variety of traditional foods are handled, and 'Jidong Sundae' has grown into a famous street in Suwon, with about 20 sundae specialty restaurants concentrated here, making it one of the top three sundae alleys in the country along with Seoul's Sillim-dong Sundae Town and Anyang's Jungang Market Sundae Town. 'Jidong Art Fora,' located on the second floor of Jidong Market, is an art creation space combining 'Art' and the Greek word 'Fora,' meaning discussion, square, and exhibition. Six artists from various fields such as illustration, ceramics, and painting are in residence, so viewing their works is also a great way to enjoy Jidong Market.
