Janganmun Geobuk Market

Geobuk Market is located north of Janganmun, the main gate of Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon. Along with Hwaseong Fortress, it is a market with 200 years of history and tradition. In the past, the landowner was nicknamed 'Geobuk' (turtle), and people who came to buy and sell agricultural products would say they were going to 'Geobuk's place,' which led to the current name Janganmun Geobuk Market. The shops in Geobuk Market are finished with uniform, clean bricks, boasting a beautiful landscape. Additionally, one side features a street called Yeonghwa Old Road, created to remember the old Yeonghwa Station.
