Why travelers stop here
Heuk Todam Gol is a Korean traditional restaurant located in Toechon, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. Surrounded by mountains, the air is fresh, and the traditional hanok building, with tiled and thatched houses connected by a wooden veranda, offers not only the pleasure of dining but also the ambiance of a trip. The well-decorated garden, old furniture, folding screens, orchids, brassware, and the unique wallpaper of Heuk Todam Gol, made by compressing flower petals and leaves into hanji paper, create a distinctive atmosphere. Heuk Todam Gol uses only pollution-free domestic ingredients, including vegetables such as cabbage, radish, and various namul, as well as traditional fermented soybean paste and soy sauce, homemade sesame oil and perilla oil, garlic, red pepper powder, and all other seasonings. The stone pot rice is made with Pilrye mineral water from Gangwon-do to enhance the natural flavor and savoriness of Korean cuisine. The menu includes Heuk Todam Gol Korean table d'hôte, marinated raw crab set meal, and barley salted dried croaker set meal.
