Why travelers stop here
Melmel, a cafe embracing Chilgok Lake, is located in Wongok-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. It consists of three floors and a rooftop, but the second floor, third floor, and rooftop operate as a no-kids zone, accessible only to those aged 13 and older to prevent safety accidents. Visitors with children must use the terrace seats on the first floor. The cafe has high ceilings and is spacious, with all windows made of tempered glass so that guests can enjoy the lake view from any seat. Seating includes not only tables but also step-style seats, bar tables, and floor seating to enhance the emotional experience of the lake view. Photo zones are set up in a corner of the first floor and in front of the terrace entrance, and the rooftop is colorfully decorated, making every spot a photo zone. Melmel uses its signature Melmel coffee beans, characterized by a heavy body and the savory flavor of roasted almonds, and also offers decaffeinated beans. The signature menu is the Barraquito, a coffee containing alcohol. In addition, it serves a variety of beverages such as cold brew latte, einspänner, frappuccino, and organic herbal tea, as well as cakes and bakery items.
