Gaonnuri Camping Experience Site

Gaonnuri Camping Experience Site is located in Angang-eup, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is about 19 km from Gyeongju City Hall. By car, follow Baengnyul-ro, Yongdam-ro, and Saeanhyeon-ro in order. It takes about 30 minutes to arrive. This site, remodeled from a closed school into a campground, is full of unique facilities. There is a small library for children, a playroom, a maze, a movie theater, and more. Additionally, there are many activities to enjoy with children, such as a bamboo forest walking path, a Majungmul (pump priming) experience area, and a table tennis hall. The campground has 46 general camping sites, with 36 crushed stone sites and 10 deck sites, and allows entry with personal trailers and caravans. The management office rents camping equipment such as extension cords, fire pits, heating devices, dishes, and sleeping bags. From the campground, heading toward Gyeongju City Hall allows for connected travel to famous tourist attractions in Gyeongju, including the Daereungwon Tomb Complex, Cheomseongdae Observatory, and the Gyeongju National Museum. There are also many restaurants nearby, offering a variety of cuisines to suit different tastes.
