Why travelers stop here
Seonghui's House is a restaurant in Cheongpyeong specializing in deodeok gui (grilled deodeok root) and charcoal-grilled dakgalbi (spicy chicken ribs). It used to be a hidden gem, but it has become famous recently, leading to long waiting times. The garden is decorated beautifully like a home. The restaurant is not very spacious, so there are always long waits on weekends. Makguksu (buckwheat noodles) or doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) are side dishes and cannot be ordered without ordering charcoal-grilled dakgalbi or deodeok gui. Charcoal-grilled dakgalbi must be ordered according to the number of people, including children. The specialty of this place is the chicken ribs grilled over charcoal. You can choose between salt, gochujang (red chili paste), and soy sauce flavors for the charcoal-grilled dakgalbi. The side dishes are clean and neat. Note that strollers cannot be brought inside. The parking lot is spacious, so parking is convenient.
