Riverside Football Field

This is a football facility built along the Geumho River in Daegu in November 2000. It is commonly referred to by local residents as the Riverside Football Field or Mutaek Football Field, after the administrative district name Mutaek-dong. The facility has 2 natural grass fields and 3 artificial turf fields. In preparation for the 2022 World Cup, facility improvements were made, and it was used as a training ground for the Senegal national team, which set up its base camp at the Saehan Training Center, along with the Daegu Civic Stadium. During normal times, various sports events, football tournaments hosted by Daegu City, and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism's High School Football Championship are held here. It is also used as a training ground for Daegu FC. Daegu FC has priority use of the Riverside Football Field, and compared to other civic clubs that have to move around to secure practice venues, the two natural grass fields provide an excellent training facility.
