Gangwon State Natural Learning Center

Established in 1980, this learning center was founded to promote understanding of nature and a spirit of nature conservation, to cultivate broad humanity and a resilient spirit through group training in the great outdoors, and to foster order, a sense of cooperation, and the qualities of a democratic citizen. Located within Chiaksan National Park, which boasts beautiful natural surroundings, the area features the ancient Silla temple Guryongsa and the Hwangjangrim (Geumgang pine forest) protected since the Joseon Dynasty, offering clean water and air and a scenic natural learning facility.
