Gonam Reservoir

Gonam Reservoir is a reservoir located in Seongyeon-myeon, Seosan-si, also known as Seongyeonji. Originally built for agricultural irrigation, it is now also known as a cherry blossom spot in Seosan thanks to the cherry trees planted along the reservoir road. Along the reservoir road, there is a driving course where you can enjoy cherry blossoms and forsythia flowers. In spring, a cherry blossom festival is held in the Gonam Reservoir area, an event voluntarily promoted by local residents since 2017, where residents personally tend the 2.1km cherry blossom path along Gonam Reservoir and hold the festival. This place is also a popular fishing spot visited by anglers throughout all seasons regardless of the season. Gonam Reservoir can be accessed via National Routes 29 and 32 through Local Route 634, and the Seohaean Expressway Seosan IC is nearby. Nearby attractions include Seosan Central Lake Park and Seosan General Sports Complex.
