Gomso Shelter

This is a restaurant located at Gomso Salt Field, which produces sun-dried sea salt, and is famous for its salted seafood set meal. The salted seafood from Gomso is made by mixing freshly caught seafood with Gomso sun-dried sea salt and aging it for over a year, so it has little fishy taste and clings to the palate. The salted seafood set meal includes nine types of salted seafood—squid, freshwater shrimp, clams, small octopus, young oysters, beltfish innards, pickled crab, yellow corvina, and herring roe—served with soybean paste stew. Additionally, the soy sauce marinated crab, which is fully packed, is also a popular menu item. Even if you order the blue crab marinated in soy sauce set meal, three types of salted seafood are provided; if you want to taste more, you can take some from the salted seafood refrigerator in the main hall. Each side dish is so delicious that it is hard to put down your spoon. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate group dining. Nearby attractions include Byeonsanbando National Park, National Byeonsan Natural Recreation Forest, and Gomso Port.
