Why travelers stop here
Cheonghogol Songeo is a trout specialty restaurant located in Sinbong-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. It uses only 3-year-old trout raised in Jeongseon, Gangwon-do, resulting in abundant flesh and a chewy texture. Signature menu items include raw trout (songeo-hoe), raw cherry salmon (sancheoneo-hoe), and assorted raw fish (modum-hoe). The raw trout is good dipped in soy sauce or gochujang, but it is best enjoyed with fresh seasoned vegetables.
If you order a raw fish menu and the portion is insufficient, a refill service is provided up to a certain amount. In addition to raw fish dishes, the trout rice set meal (hoetbap jeongsik), trout mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), and freshwater crab and trout spicy stew (chamge songeo maeuntang) are also popular. If you need more food, adding kalguksu noodles to the spicy stew is delicious. The parking lot is spacious and convenient, and all menu items are available for takeout. Located near Gwanggyosan Mountain, it is a popular restaurant frequently visited by hikers.
