Kim Soo-nyung Archery Field is located next to Cheongju Yongsan Forest Park. Kim Soo-nyung, an archer from Cheongju, is a legendary Korean archer who won 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal at the Olympics alone, and as a national representative until 2013, she holds the record for the most medals among Korean athletes. She set over 30 world records, leaving the most brilliant career in archery history, and retired in 1993. Cheongju City opened the Kim Soo-nyung Archery Field in 1994, naming it after her. This place features a wide grassy field for free play, a track for running and exercise, and shaded areas installed between them for resting during exercise. On one side, outdoor exercise equipment is also installed for citizens. A small shop is operated where you can buy simple drinks. If there are competitions or event rentals, access may be restricted, but on regular days, you can visit comfortably for relaxation and exercise. However, note that kickboards, bicycles, inline skates, skateboards, RC cars, and drones are prohibited from being brought in.
