Why travelers stop here
This valley starts at Punggok Bridge, passes through the village of Dogye-eup, and reaches Gagokcheon Stream. Since ancient times, it has been famous as a deep and beautiful natural valley, but it was not easy to access. However, now that local roads are well maintained, it is a fantastic course where you can enjoy the cool mountain breeze and fragrant air while driving in summer and autumn. The mountain scenery is outstanding and the water is clear, so freshwater fish species, including natural monuments such as mountain trout, live in abundance in the valley. It is a good fishing spot for those who want to enjoy night fishing. Among the seven Donghwal Bridges, the scenery between Donghwal 2nd Bridge and 4th Bridge, surrounded by bizarre rocks and beautiful peaks, is the most outstanding. Upstream, there is a 150-year-old shingle-roofed house and folk relics, and near the downstream, there is a golden pine tree, the village's guardian tree. There is a small campsite operated by the village only during July and August in summer. In addition, there are many tourist attractions nearby, such as Deokpung Valley, Gagok Natural Recreation Forest, and美人瀑布 (Misin Falls).
