Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Cheongoksan Dokkaebi-gil is a road located in Gaebi Village, Hoedong-ri, at the foot of Cheongoksan Mountain in the clean highland area of Yukbaekmajigi. Here, visitors can encounter goblin legends and the legend of Horangibawi (Tiger Rock). As a mountainous area, it offers clean and refreshing forest bathing. In spring, there are many wild greens; in summer, it is cool; and in autumn, the fall foliage is spectacular. The name Gaebi Village originates from a tale that in the old days, many wealthy people lived in Jangjaeteo, Hoedong 2-ri, but goblins, unable to tolerate their tyranny, brought about their downfall.
