Jangjeon Valley

Stretching across Pyeongchang and Jeongseon, Gariwangsan Mountain is a peak with an elevation of 1,561m above sea level. As high as it is, Gariwangsan Mountain is also large in size and has several deep valleys, among which the most representative are Jangjeon Valley, which flows down the northern foot, and Hoedong Valley, which winds to the south. Heading down from Jinbu to Jeongseon, at the fork, turning toward Makdong-ri leads directly to Makdong Valley, and turning toward Jangjeon-ri leads directly to Jangjeon Valley.

Jangjeon Valley, located in Jangjeon-ri, Jinbu-myeon, is a tributary valley of Odaetcheon Stream, displaying its outstanding beauty in many places. Compared to its scenic valley beauty, it is relatively unknown, making it perfect for a quiet summer retreat.
