Why travelers stop here
This beach is adjacent to Gangneung Jumunjin Beach. The white sand beach is oval-shaped, 500m long, and covers an area of 35,000㎡. The village was named Sodol because the entire village is shaped like a cow lying down, and the surrounding area is covered with rocks, with a rock resembling a cow in the sea in front. The oval beach has white sand, a gentle slope, and shallow water, so you can also catch clams. Convenience facilities such as restrooms, changing rooms, and showers are available, and camping is possible in a pine forest covering 1,650㎡. Nearby are Jumunjin Port, Uamjin Port, and Orijin Port, where you can buy fresh seafood at low prices, and you can also rent a boat to enjoy flounder fishing. The beach operates from July 15 to August 20 every year.
