Hwangto Gudeul Village is a place where visitors can experience the traditional Korean heating method, ondol (gudeul). It houses the nation's only traditional Korean gudeul culture exhibition hall, where various forms of gudeul can be viewed. To carry on the traditional heating cultural heritage, the village was named Hwangto Gudeul Village, and it established the nation's only traditional Korean gudeul culture exhibition hall and experience center to continue gudeul culture. The village also operates a gudeul school to lead the dissemination of traditional gudeul. In addition, it has become a landmark of Pyeongchang-gun as a space for various traditional culture experiences and healing. At Hwangto Gudeul Village, visitors can learn about and experience gudeul through a mini gudeul-making program. Other programs include healing yoga, children's English meditation, stargazing, traditional archery and folk games, tea ceremony and flower tea experiences, and food experiences using a traditional earthen kiln, among various traditional culture and eco-friendly ecological experience programs.
