Bonghwang Dulle-gil

At the entrance of Geumdang Valley, the trailhead for Jangmi Mountain and Deoksu Mountain, and at the riverside of the village entrance of Gaesuri Bonghwangdae Village in Daehwa-myeon, a majestic rock rises. This is Bonghwangdae, which holds the legend of the phoenix. Bonghwang Dulle-gil is a course that starts from Bonghwangdae and walks the trail around Dalmisan (Nojeokbong) Peak. Passing through village roads and a ranch where Korean cattle are grazed, the trail enters a forest path and follows Geumdang Valley, allowing walkers to enjoy the peaceful rural scenery and nature. Around Bonghwangdae in Geumdang Valley, azaleas and royal azaleas bloom in spring, the green forest and clear water in summer, the red autumn foliage in fall, and the beautiful snowy scenery in winter.
