The National Geographic Center Baekkop Village is located approximately 8km from Yongu-eup, Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do, toward Inje. The village is a typical rural area with Bonghwasan Mountain, the main mountain of Yanggu, as its backdrop, encompassing Changri Deul, the largest granary of Yanggu. It consists of three administrative villages: Dochon-ri, Chang 1-ri, and Chang 2-ri, and is home to the geographical center point of the nation, which has brought renewed attention to the village's value and significance. The residents are known for their simplicity and warmth, maintaining a communal way of life. The village operates a natural dyeing experience program, allowing visitors to directly experience the eco-friendly traditional colors and aesthetic sensibilities of Korea.
